SNOUT

Row 23: With C, K1, [K2tog, K2] 3 times. With B, [K2tog, K2] 3 times, K2tog.

With C [K2, K2tog] 3 times, K1—30 sts.

Row 24: P10 C, 10 B, 10 C.

Row 25: K10 C, 10 B, 10 C.

Row 26: P10 C, 10 B, 10 C.

Row 27: With C, [K1, K2tog] 4 times. With B, K6. With C, [K2tog, K1] 4 times—22 sts.

Row 28: P9 C, 4 B, 9 C.

Row 29: K9 C, 4 B, 9 C.

Row 30: P10 C, 2 B, 10 C.

Row 31: With C, K2tog 5 times. With B, K2. With C, K2tog 5 times—12 sts.

Rows 32–34: Cont with C only, St st.

Row 35: K2tog across—6 sts.

Cut yarn leaving a long tail, thread tail through rem sts, gather tightly and fasten off. Sew ends of rows tog creating a seam underneath head. Stuff head firmly before closing seam. Sew head to top of body.

EARS (make 2)

With C, CO 16.

Rows 1–2: St st.

Row 3: K2tog across—8 sts.

Cut yarn leaving a long tail, thread tail through rem sts, gather tightly and fasten off. Sew ends of rows tog. WS facing forward, sew ears to either side of head.

FACE

With B, stitch indents for eye. With D, stitch a French knot in each eye. With G, make a few straight stitches over center 2 sts for the nose.

OVERALL STRAPS (make 2)

With A, CO 40, K 1 row, BO.

Sew ends of straps 8 sts apart, to edge of waistband on overalls at front as illustrated. Cross straps on back of body and sew 10 sts apart on back edge of overalls.

FINISHING

Weave in all ends.
